Hello all, i am just about to aquire a Ragazza 25. The boat is a 1989 model with cuddy. The boat needs a bit of work to get it ready for the season. It has a 7.4 MPI mercruiser with a bravo 1 leg but some one has stolen the prop and the currant owner does not know what size it was! Can anyone give me an idea for a good prop size that will give a reasonable balance of speed and economy (i am in the uk and a 7.4l MPI with petrol prices of 1.93dollars per litre scare me a little) any help much appreciated.

15x21 3-blade would be my guess, 7.4 MPI is a cruiser engine, no high performance set-up

I would say due to weight and design . Try a 3 blade 19p mirage .. I would find a 17p to try as well... you will find a 17p will give you alot of take off and mid range manuver power in turns.
Mirage type 3 blades in those sizes are very common in that boat class..
Have fun with your new Boat!
