A buddy of mine had one of those. Finally dumped it after it hit 250k miles.

He bought his from his dad, had every receipt for every dollar spent on it... including gas receipts with mileage written on every one. Crazy documentation for a car.

Looks like you have a nice ride... with a whole lot of life left!

Phil, when you announce you want a Park Avenue, you're telling the world you are at retirement age. :nilly:
LOL!

But it looks like a nice ride.
Congratulations!

Has anyone else noticed that Buicks in the '90's looked more or less like Jaguars, and that now, they look like Lexus?????

I miss the old days when they looked like Buick!
During the 20's through the 50's, there was no mistaking a Buick!
This is one of my complaints about GM during the last 30 years is they willingly gave up the lead in the car industry.

Congrats on your find Phil. Hope you enjoy the new ride....

Now you just have to track down one of those orange things to put on top of the antenna :biggrin.::biggrin.::biggrin.:.

Phil I had a 98' PA and loved it, had around 190k on the clock when I donated it to charity, only thing I had problems with was these vintage 3800's used plastic intake manifolds and can crack and induse water into the engine, I had to replace mine at 70k. Other than that all I pretty much did was tires, brakes and fluids. Can't beat the ride of these, their like a couch on wheels!! Mine averaged 28.8 mpg's that was 75% highway 25% city, if I found one with 9k miles I'd buy another, enjoy! Steve

Sweet ride, Phil, I am jealous. Myself, and then my son, pounded 240,000 on an '00 Regal with minimal repairs. Steve is right about the intake manifold, though, so keep an eye on that after another 100,000 miles or so!

We are some tickled to have found it, the ride home was memory lane having had a 97. It too had the manifold go bad at about 90,000, other then that the only other thing was front hubs at about the same time. They are one of the best cars out there, the handling and fuel economy rivals the best. It is about the only luxury car that can equal small Jap cars in sipping gas, the handling with the touring suspension has to be experienced to be believed. My only regret is it is Bonnie's! I should have bought it for ME!!!!!
