I think my oil cooler is too small, what are the big blocks supposed to use? Temps are way too high since i bumped the HP from 330 to 420.

CP Marine makes a nice thermostatically controlled unit. It will keep those temps down on the hottest days and allow you to build temp on the cooler days. I run one on my 540.

It's hard to beat one of these Revolution Marine combination coolers, particularly considering the price!

You can add a seperate thermostat if you find you need to.

I've got one of these on my 502 - my problem is now getting the thing up to temp! I'll be looking at adding a thermostat to the line.

I am embarrased to say how hot, 290 at WOT. I am told oil starts to brake down at 235.
