Hello everyone!!

1987 donzi 22 ... I need a trim switch for a o.e Quicksilver mercury shifter. it is not the rocker type, It is more like a light switch just thin bladed..

(mine works fine but the lever portion has broken and is difficult to trim)

New or used any ideas?? complete shifter??

Matt

If you find a good source for replacement shifter, please let me know as well. I have a 1987 Classic 18 and the shifter cracked and the trim switch was falling out...That was last spring and super glue was the repair. Luckily I found all the pieces and it lasted all summer and is still going strong??? So try super glue if you have all the pieces. Good luck, Bob:bighug:

Thanks Bob... Yes the shifter is working but im tired of the trim switch being a nub... it crosses over to a Volvo switch and It requires shifter mod.(pass)..... so im still hunting, and if you come across a pair of shifters.. im still in..Let me know aswell.

Thanks

Matt

I don't have the same shifter, but I just ordered a trim switch from Wholesalemarine.com. I've used them in the past and they have some of the best prices. It is difficult to located their merc parts though. I located the part number I needed from elsewhere and then did a search on the Wholesale website.
Mercruiserparts.com is a great site for finding parts.

Hard to tell from the pics, but it looks as if this is what you need:

or this one:

Both of them list the switch as still available

I have the same shifter and want to replace it. Way too much play shifting fwd / aft. Unable to tighten it up. If anyone knows a good replacement please post. I like the trim on the existing shifter as it is easy to feather small adjustments.
Thanks. J
