Call me Forrest Gump; but, if our government really wants to keep classified information 'secret' - all government classified documents should be kept in the same place as Obama's birth certificate and his college transcripts.

The president is a Kenyan. The president is a secret Muslim. The president (why not?—after all, every little bit helps) is the unacknowledged love child of Malcolm X. And this is their response to the election of an extremely moderate half-African American candidate, who speaks better English than most and who has a model family.

Having an honest and open discussion about all this is not just a high priority.
It’s more like a matter of social and political survival.
But the Beck-Skousen faction want to make such a debate impossible.
They need and want to sublimate the anxiety into hysteria and paranoia.

Obama turning moderate like Bill Clinton
http://business.financialpost.com/2010/12/06/obama-turning-moderate-like-bill-clinton/

For the first time since his party’s drubbing in last month’s election, and arguably for the first time on a major domestic policy since he took office, Mr. Obama forged a deal with the Republican opposition, swallowing hard to give up a central campaign promise while maneuvering to win enough other priorities to declare partial victory.

In that deal come the first clues to how he plans to govern for the next two years with a divided Congress, an anemic economy and his own re-election looming on the horizon. He made clear he was willing to alienate his liberal base in the interest of compromise, more interested in crafting measures that can pass to the benefit of the middle class than waging battle to the end over principle. And in the process, he is gambling he can convince the American people that he is the bridge-builder they thought he was.

Yup. It always gets heated and turns into long posts and longer rebuttals. Often copied & pasted. If it could stay short and simple and not too serious it would probably be OK to talk about this stuff. But that's not how it works...

I was originally going to post a very short reply........Two More Years!!

The libtards are eating each other for lunch because the One fell off his radical perch, therefore Obama is extremely moderate? Please.. Obama painted himself into a corner and I'm sure this "moderation" is temporary. He's not moderate, he's a far left radical that isn't as politically astute as everyone thought. How ironic! I do admire him for one thing though: being a one-term President!

Howard I agree his base is left but every modern president has been forced to the middle, that's where the votes are.
The hard right and left can't be moved but the moderates elect every president!

The left has been honestly disappointed in Mr. Obama. He did not come through as they think he should have in myriad ways—the public option, closing Guantanamo, war, now the tax plan. But—and this makes it all more complicated and fascinating—the left does not say Mr. Obama has been revealed to be at heart a conservative, or a Republican. Most of them know he is one of them—his worldview is more or less theirs, his assumptions are theirs. . .

. . . When Pat Buchanan challenged an incumbent president in his party's presidential primary in 1992, he was going at George H.W. Bush from the right. Mr. Bush's base wasn't the right, it was the party's center. His support came from people who said not "I am a conservative," but "I am a Republican." Mr. Bush wasn't challenged from his base.

When Ted Kennedy challenged a sitting president of his party in 1980, he was going at Jimmy Carter from the left. But Mr. Carter's base wasn't the left, it was more or less in the party's center.

When Ronald Reagan challenged a sitting president of his party in 1976, he was going at Gerald Ford from the right. Like Mr. Bush, Ford's base wasn't the right, it was the party's establishment. Eugene McCarthy in 1968 the same—he challenged Lyndon Johnson from the left, while Johnson's base within the party was the establishment.

Modern presidents are never challenged from their base, always by the people who didn't love them going in.

You are insane if you think Obama has any interest in taking a moderate left position. He had no choice but to compromize or go down in flames looking like the idealogue that he is. He accomplished what he wanted which is to appear willing to compromize and if he has to temporarily anger the extreme left, who he truly embraces, he will as he is happy to throw anyone under the bus if that helps him. Obama was happy to throw his grandmother and preacher under the bus as that helped his position. Regardless of how much Obama has angered the extreme left they will vote for him again in 2 years without question. If you don't realize Obama is extreme left you look foolish trying to justify such a position.

I agree and I can't believe I pulled myself into this one!

Just one more?

Man oh man, did anybody see how the first black President just upstaged the second? Can you imagine? We are at war and in one might call a major financial emergency and what does Obama do? Checks his watch! He has a Christmas party to attend and he's keeping his gorilla waiting, so he leaves it to Old Bubba to handle his press conference! Absolutely appalling! Like the bummer has BETTER things to do! OMG!!!

Please, PLEASE tell me what the press would've done if George Bush had done the same and pulled in his daddy or Dick Cheney to handle it for him? Can you say impeachment?

But no, not a word in the news about this stunt. Freakin' libtards make me P U K E.

Okay, now I'm done.

The problem is that we all have opinions and they are not likely to change so politics just get heated and ugly. Let's talk about religion instead :) .
