Cutting edge propeller

Has anyone tried one of these props? Results? Any other recommendations on four blade props other than Hydromotive or Bravo? TIA, Bill

I actually caught Greg this afternoon at Cutting Edge. He has a new 5 blade cleaver that he will be testing this week that he thought would work better for my Eliminator for top end speed. I might get one of the first ones if everything goes as planned with the testing. I will try to remember to post the final results. Bill

i dont think your boat needs a defuser ring on the propeller..That will cost you some top speed.

I agree. Hopefully, his new design 5 blade cleaver will not have it on the hub. Greg is going to send me pictures in a week or so after he has done more testing to make sure they perform as designed. I like what he told me today on the phone with razor sharp leading edges, balanced, and returnable if not totally pleased. His four blade props usually make up to 5MPH better speeds than Hydromotive or Bravo props. Bill

when you talk to Greg next time inquire if they make props to fit the older Volvo drives . . sadly w/o Grizz there's a lot of owners without a good selection of props

The Solas Titan are available from any Solas distributor.
We are fortunate that Grizz pushed the development of these.

I never ended up buying a 5 blade cleaver design for my Eliminator, but I ordered a 5 blade 27" labbed and polished 15 1/8" diameter round ear for my 28' Warlock yesterday. I talked to Greg about the Warlock and decided to try one of them mostly for the outstanding cruise speed with a possible increase in top end. He told me his typical customer picks up 4 to 8MPH at cruise at the same RPMs using the 5 blade Cutting Edge prop. It will be like the prop in his Ebay ad where I provided the link. I will report on the results when I get the boat running again. Bill

Any time I have called Greg he returned the call the same day if not answered the phone. Keep trying if you want to try one of his props. I know he is a busy man so give him a chance. Bill

I recently sent a couple props to Leading Edge in Sarasota, the results were spectacular for the money. Several factory Merc powered boats at the MIA Show ran his props...

he did two props perfectly for me, for what previous shops charged for one..
