I'm planning on re-doing the bunks on my Steel Dual Axles trailer, the fabricator likes to know where the center weight is located at....I'm thinking at about where the backseat is at. Once I find the center weight where should it line up...front axle? in betwen the the 2 axles?

See this photo of my 22. As it sits, there is about 410# of tongue weight, so, the COG would be just forward of where this axle is. You guess is about right, under the rear area of the back seat.
If you put the COG evenly between the 2 axles, you won't have any tongue weight, so it has to be forward of that point, closer to the front axle. Your builder should know the right spot.

For future reference according to Donzi and diagram if it helps.

The Center of Gravity is approximately at the backrest
of the drivers seat.

It is supposed to be about 64" from the transom according to Donzi. Of course this will vary depending on power.

Tidbart, who made that trailer ?
A single axle would be the trick for the local little boat ramps !!

All-American Trailer. They are in Pompano, FL now. PM or email me if you want more info. I did post more photos on the board, but I can't find them right now.
