I noticed today my dual ram tabs were not responding. Checked reservoir and found very low trim fluid. How do you fill the trim tab tank and what type of fluid do I use? Do I need to bleed the lines? 2006 classic

Filling it depends on the tabs you have. The most common fluids used are power steering fluid, 10-30wt engine oil or ATF.. As far as bleeding it out, if you run the tabs up & down several times it should bleed the air out. However you should check for leaks if your level was low..

Also if you have bennetts I would use atf as it flows easier in those systems.. Usually K planes run 10-30 or power steering fluid.. ;) Jamie / Lakeside

If you have any 5 or 10 weight fork oil for a motorcycle, that works also.

Don't ask how I know this.

Oh, yeah, fork oil also works well in hydraulic steering systems.
