Looks like a heck of a deal and seems legit. Found this other classified for the same boat where they were asking $8500. Has same telephone number as craigslist ad:

Sold ! I just bought my first Donzi and she is beautiful ! 197 total hours since new, garaged and well maintained. I took her for a nice test run on Beaver Lake (Arkansas) and well.....you know what happens after that. :)

DannyK, welcome from another new to me Sweet 16 owner. I hope someone here advised you to be prepared to spend at least 20% of the selling price on "stuff". Right now my 16 is at Lakeside getting a mechanical check out, thru-hulls installed, new cockpit cover and new rug. And we've just satarted talkng more HP and a different prop. I'm sure by the time next Spring rolls around I'll be way over 20% of what I paid. But hey, I can't take it with me!

Thanks jstrahn, I'm quite happy with the deal. She's nearly flawless ! The only part that sucks is she'll probably sit until Spring. I'll winterize her this week.

Thanks for the welcome John. This boat is perfect and needs nothing. The P.O. just put in a new battery, trim pump, impeller etc. and I still have the gear from my last boat. That plus doing own work means I don't see needing to spend much unless I start wanting to go faster. That's where I get into trouble ! :)

Fianaly got her out on the lake today ! Since I bought her end of season and only had one test run, it was a long winter !

A "NOT MINE" success story.

Congrats again Danny. You pretty much had no choice but to buy her, she matches your truck! :)

Great looking boat.

Thanks guys ! I'm quite happy with her, she runs perfect and the V6 is good on gas. BTW, I had to buy the truck because I needed a tow vehicle and it matched the boat ! I stole it off a Craigslist ad for $1500 and only did minor work to get it running right. I now have a matching designated tow rig for 2 grand total ! :)

It's got $500+ in tires alone. You, sir, are a thief. ;)

What size gun do you carry to get those deals?

Haha, no gun, just good timing. I got the boat "end-of-season" when few people are buying and got the truck "end-of-month" from an unemployed guy worried about paying his rent. Timing is everything ! :)

Yup, the truck was a score ! And I don't think I mentioned that the guy who listed the boat for $8,500 took $6,000 cash for it. lol :)
