Am I wrong to think that 420 hp is an awful lot of hp for a normally aspirated 383 with a carb and no nitrous?

Assuming this is an Alpha, isn't 420 pushing the drive pretty hard?

I built a 383 last year this time, and it was an easy 460 hp on 93 octane... 9.4-1 combo

I am really lusting after an 18, but this strikes me as potentially a very good deal. Certainly you can't tell until you look at the boat, but there certainly seem to be some of the right parts hung on the motor in the picture. Are there any particular quirks of the Minx that a buyer should be aware of?

The Minx was built exactly like any other Classic of the mid '80's.
Mainly make sure the stringers and transom are solid.
Many of them have beat up cockpit floors, like other Donzi's of the era.

What's this about..? Does this mean the boat is Sold..OR does this mean the owner changed his mind about selling..OR is there a "Time Limit" on the posting. Just wondering..not familiar with Craigs List Rules.

This boat is still for sale. I am the owner and should have listed it here myself. Any questions give me a call. Great boat for the age. Some fading etc. Runs great. Thanks, Roy 617-827-3436
