Early Hornets?

Whats up with the old Hornets?The old ones early 70'S. Are they junk or isnt alot of around.Why I ask is been here on this site since 90'S. Dont ever hear much.

I was he[[ bent on a Hornet and it took me a loooong time to find the right one. Patience is needed as they do show up on occasion.
I may be selling mine soon as I have hurt my lower back and using the boat is no longer an option for me. More doctor/surgeon visits will let me know if I'm gonna keep her:crossfing:. I wish you good luck in your search and IF my 76 2+3 Hornet goes up for sale I will post it here on the Donzi board first!

Ditto to all the above. I searched a long time for mine too...even offered a finder's fee. Of all the Classic hulls I've owned, (16, 18, 19) the Hornet is hand's down my favourite. Still would upgrade for the right B.B. or Benchseat model, but I will always own a Hornet!

Was there a Hornet I, II, and III model?

You are correct. There was initially the Hornet (no I) from approx 1965-1976 built in benchseat and 2+3 configs, all 19'. Then the Hornet II from 1977-1982? (billed as 20' but not sure if the hull was actually stretched). And then the Hornet III from approx. 1983-87 in a 21' hull. All had relatively low production #s, but I've seen handfulls of each for sale over the years.
