Sorry I haven't been around much, but I now have something Donzi related I can share !:)
I hope you don't mind viewing the Slide Show on my server and should this thread get deleted, I completely understand.
See how a wave closed out over the top of this Donzi at: http://www.Sharkey-Images.com
This boat literally shoots the curl bow 1st as the wave crashes so hard over the top of it. More than 3/4 of the boat is slammed with white water so bad you cannot see it !
Bottom Left of Home Page....
Enjoy ! :)

My thoughts exactly. You really cant see the Donzi due to the writing.

Not on all of them... For the most part all you can see is the roostertale. The boat is blocked by the size of the swells. Then it pops up and enters the curl.
The other shots are not blocked. All that white water is the over the top of the Donzi. Look closely and you will see the Bow shooting out the back end...:shocking:

There is only boat I saw that I would want to be out in that stuff, it had an orange stripe.

Thanks Phil.
I have been around a long time.
My other site is where I have been promoting the Donzi Registry for years now.

That's long over due for some upgrades.....:(
None the less, I enjoy having the Forums Links Page as it makes for quick easy access to some cool sites...

+1!

My other thought was that Donzi would go even faster if they cleaned the bottom but then I thought - well it's not like the boat is actually IN the water very much so maybe not!

Thanks for posting.

I was there on Sunday for the race, it was crazy water! Only saw a couple race boats that dared to make it out.

Nice pictures!

I know I'd have been heading for the nearest harbor if I got caught in water like that. Thanks for posting. I enjoy your pics on the other forums too. I have to agree with toning down the water mark though ;).

Great pictures! Thanks for posting them for us!

In the early "headed-out" shots it did not appear than any of the folks in that boat were wearing a life jacket. I could be wrong. But if not, I wonder if they rethought that situation after the wave break.

The water has been so warm in the Jersey bays this year that it only takes a weekend in the water to look like that!
