Originally from New England. I know too well. One of the reasons I am now in Florida.

Rakes are useless on the St Augustine grass, so we use the leaf blower to send the clippings into the hated neighbors yard.

Some do. The oaks finally lose most of their leaves in Januarey or so.
Things do freeze here, maybe two or three times a year.

Around the lake behind my house, there are 5 oaks total and those are the only ones that lose their leaves. Guess who has 4 out of 5 in their back yard? :boggled::boggled::boggled:

One cool thing is that each of the 4 turns a different color in the fall, which looks really cool.

Enough of this leaf\fall talk. I'm going in the pool.

Phil, I don't winterize until mid November. The Great Lakes boating is usually done by mid October though. It gets foggy out there! I am looking forward to a cozy winter. I have 60 face cords of firewood stacked and there will be year round trips to the northern cabin now that I have the 4X4.:)
