Well I decided to go with the Johnson raw water pump and there are no barbs for the 1 1/4" hose. The inside is threaded for 3/4" pipe and I cannot find a 3/4" pipe fitting with a 1 1/4" barbed end on it.
I'm not even sure if a 3/4" will allow enough water to flow.
George, MOP, Fix, or anyone else with this what did you use here?

The snouts should fit a 1-1/4", mine fit fine no issues. Leave the black plastic pieces in it they have a bit of a barb and hold the hoses well. Phil

You can do this too, but I would have clamped
the 1 1/4" to the pump spigots if I had done it over.
It didn't suffer from too little water though.

So no issues with the 3/4" pipe and no problem with the hose coming off the outlet with no barbs. Thanks. Cant say enough about all the knowledge and help here.
George where did you get the pump bracket? It looks alot beefier than mine.

I bought it from these guys. It's a seperate listing than the pump.

Thanks again.
BTW after Phil and other's concerns about too much water pressure for a small block I did some research and got the smaller model F5-B9 pump.
The F6-B9 pump is for BBs and fresh water cooled SBs. Mine is a raw water cooled SBC.

The biggest problem with these pumps is the cover, and high RPM, I blew out the seal several times before I had a CNC 1/4" thick brass cover made with an o-ring seal . . I also had to machine up a pilot ring to center the pump to my Ford harmonic balancer.

If anyone needs these covers, post me directly . . I can get more made.
You'll get 4 SS allen head screws , 2 orings and one cover.
The Allen heads are much easier to install down in a bilge.

I also did not know I had a leaking cover, I only noticed the bilge pump running after a couple long fast runs . . .
