This is neat stuff. When I was a teenager, Scarab sports racing cars were wiping up.
These are interesting times when you can buy modern interpretations of older racing cars.
If you were able to afford one of the originals, you wouldn't drive them!
Now you can buy Scarabs, Cheetahs, Allards, Daytona coupes, probably a few more, and have fun w/them.
Back to Scarab, these cars were built by Lance Reventlow, the son of Barbara Hutton, and Swedish Count Reventlow. He also married Jill St. John, if I remember correctly, they got divorced because of sports car racing that she didn't care for. I think he died racing.
The IRS shut down the car company because it was a hobby and not a legitimate business.
