code 44 on 2000 350 mpi

just pulled a code 44 (knock sensor) due to alarm going off 3 times yesterday. any ideas what to do before I start throwing money at it. also I just replaced the fuel/ water seperator last weekend...coinicedence?

look on oso trend! pull it clean the rust off the threads,clean the rust off the threads in the block and reinstall it,if your in salt water then replace it...they are mounted in a water plug port on the side of the block..

thanks dude. that seems to have fixed it.the searay ran all day. now maybe ill have time to take my own boat out!
