If you can think up some wild stuff that has gizmo's and more power you can sell it to homeland security!

Not familiar with multiple outboards but how do they keep the outboard motor in check on hard turns? Seems like with shorter shafts and a hard turn they would be out of the water and hit their limiters a lot.

Bet those seats cost more than my whole boat is worth, plus the trailer.

FFF, good question on the OBs on a turn.

I would have thought transom jacks would sort out that problem but I don't see any...??? Perhaps their next "mod"...?

I posted some Homeland Security boat pictures
here on this website
and they were removed
in a very mysterious way . . .
the posts are there but the attachments were stripped out.

those photos were of operational boats
with guns attached and crew faces

so these photos might be left up
because the boat is not officially operational?

we will see . . .

Well at least we are seeing the new stealth technology at work on their boat numbers!

You just let the outside O/B bounce off the rev limiter on the turn.

Those are Stidd system seats, the factory is out by me. They make them for a ton of military apps including fly by wire seats in attack subs, check out their site http://www.stidd.com/ they also have developed a mini sub for the military.

Don't mean to hijack, but just for fun (and under the theme of security boats)...this is the 45' coast guard Response Boat -Medium (RB-M). We do some work for the manufacturer and I got to ride on one during the sea trial (and doing the high speed J turn). Wow! awesome boats!

What is the advantage of aluminum over fiberglass for these boats?

weight and strength?

or

aluminum boats are easier to construct,
therefore keeping the price down.

Who knows what their reasoning is, but aluminum is quite light, very forgiving as a construction material, and maybe easier to build than Kevlar.

See the link that CDMA posted, go to, Patrol Series, 40 Fearless, and look at photo #3. The outside motor stays in the water on a hard turn.
