I had a saleslady once that used to write for an airboat magazine.
She told me that at some events they would drag race for 50'.
They would exceed more than 100 MPH in that distance.
She also told me they previously ran for 100', but that some boats would go airborne.
I've not seen such a thing, but it sounds almost unbelievable.

Man, was that thing electric? It had to be the most quiet airboat ever. Those things rival jet boat noise levels around here.

It was load as all get out. Only runs 45 or so with a 350hp small block Its pretty big I know they are all over florida but a little rarer up here Really fun might try a new river tomorrow. I know Chief Engines made an 800hp blower motor for a guy with an airboat in Northern Florida Never heard how fast it went but I can assume it scooted.
