You'd spend the better part of that asking price just repowering a gas boat with those 6LY's...

I have receipts for about 80k for the engines and the genset... not to mention the canvas, teak, fridge,etc... you know, BOAT....

(small chuckle)

You can tell a man's selling the boat - pics of the engine room and the exterior, but not a single shot of the interior!

Not busting on you - I've been there. And on this forum, it probably doesn't matter much anyway.

But if you run the ad on boattrader or craigslist or whatever, be sure to include some interior shots (if you can get them - tough without a wide angle lens). Trust me on this WOMEN buy boats, even if the men think it was their decision.

And hey, men like interiors too. Sometimes.

Nice boat!

Where is it located?

JimG
08-09-2010, 12:45 PM
Sorry, the boat is located in South Shore Harbour Marina, Clear Lake, Texas. Just south of Houston, on sunny Galveston Bay!

Some additional info:

I have the bottom cleaned by a diver (Darkwater Divers) every 90 days. He also does the zincs, (did them on last service in July). Had props worked to pick up some rpm a few months back, they are in excellent condition. Boat is washed twice a month by Silda's Yacht Service, and compund/buff/waxed every six months. (Last buff was in conjunction with the teak refinish, last month.) Teak has 11 coats of Cetol, 3 natural base and 8 coats clear gloss. All work performed by Sonny Castro.

As I think of stuff, I'll post...

New autopilot head unit (Sitex SP-80).
One year old Clarion MD-5 stereo with Clarion Marine speakers on bridge, Infinity speakers in cockpit, and cockpit mounted digital remote. Also has the Sirius box...
New house water pump
New stainless swim ladder on marlin board.
All new rodholders. (Used for drinkholders, NOT FISHING RODS!) he he!!

As far as I know, this boat has never been fished...

Oh, I can take care of that problem for you.... I might know a trucker or two, and a yard or three.

Thanks, but I have looked into this before. The costs of taking off the bridge,
getting the highway permits for height and width, re-rigging the bridge, etc. etc. was never really worth it. We have thousands of boats up and down the coast to buy.
The only way to do something like this would be to take a trip of a lifetime and go through the canal and up the coast. Something that I want to do before I die. High up on the bucket list.

Well, the first jump, KW to Yucatan, is only a little over 300 miles.
That should be easy enough in this boat.

Thanks for all the nice comments and inquiries. One common question is the brand. This is not a Pacemaker. It's a Pace. Completely different boat. Pace is a heavy built boat, built in an Egg Harbor mold. Almost every stick of wood in this boat is teak. Not anything against Pacemaker, but this is not one...
