1996 22C stuck fuel gauge and eng tem gauge

I have a 1996 22 classic with a 502 merc. and two issues:
1. My fuel guage was working until last week, I filled it up and now the guage has been stuck in the full position ever since any idea's?

2. My temp guage has stopped working, I took off the wire tapped on block and the guage moved, so I replaced temp sending unit and it still won't work any idea's?

The two issues started at different times. Any idea's will be appreciated.

Check the wiring behind the dash, we bounce around quite a bit.
