Hello all, lets make this very simple,
I am the 2nd owner of a 1991 or close, with a King Cobra outdrive, with approx. 125 hours total time since new. Many accessories: Stereo, captns call thru hull, halon fire supression system, you name it, its got it.
Comparably equiped over 45K. Vessel is located in Jackson, MS, and will be happy to demo. Price: 16K. Trailer is like brand new, with less than 500 miles period. If interested, give me a call: 1-800-647-5364, I am not a dealer, as this is a business number.
I must offer the following: this is a full wooden stringer construction boat, as opposed to the cheaper and now foamed in boats, with the less expensive mercury alpha, or bravo drives, The older King Cobra (AMC) drives are indeed rated at 500 hp, and subsequently are bullet proof, as the new volvo - penta are.
In all honesty, this boat will not run with the Mercury alpha, and bravo drives, but it will run a solid 55 mph, and without any problems whatsoever. My local dealer tells me that he will buy all of the alpha and bravo drives that he can for parts, in order to repair. He never buys the OMC king cobra drives, accordingly. your call.

To aswer all questions - yes it does have the OMC crank fired ignition system. There is no distibutor - 4 coils firing all 8, within the magneto, on an internal crank trigger.

hope this helps

91 is a hump back. Either a 5.7 or a 5.8.
