I see very few Sweet 16s with windshields, were they just not popular? If I wanted to add a windshield to one with a grab rail can you purchase a factory style windshield anywhere?

You can try calling the factory for a price. Windshields can be pricey. A friend just bought one for a 85 ski nautique and it was $2500 delivered to NH. It was fabricated in FL by a company that makes them. I see this kid almost every nite on the lake. I can ask him where he got it If ya want.

Taylor Made builds windshields for many manufacturers and possibly the donzis as well. Im sure they are not cheap.

Why bother with the hassle, expense, added weight on deck & break up the clean lines? As on my 20' DONZI Minx & all the classics, the windscreen is such a low profile it does not offer any 'protection' per se. I don't believe I've ever seen a wind screen on a 16...18s & 22s yes......:cool!:

I am sorry, but I have to differ with you.

The Minx windshield is excellent. You could never appreciate the Minx windshield unless you ride in another classic.

Totally True. The Minx is maybe the Only Classic windshield that actually works, and I'm over six feet tall and I can wear a broad brimmed straw hat at over 50 without a chin strap. YUP

Some Minx had an optional Eye-Talien windshield without the "LIP" that may not be as good as the smoked plastic one that it most common.

Here is a 16 for sale with the windshield. Its a personal preference for me, nothing more. $6200 for that boat is a steal if is real in Idaho. So, figure $ 2500? plus probably $500 for the swap and filling all the holes and trying to match up the gelcoat (which isn't easy)....... And, your grab rail retails for $ 600 fob. So there's the math. Contact ACE51 on here, He has a windshield on his 2000 16. Maybe he can find a name on it for ya.........Or maybe somebody will trade with you. If you want me to ask the kid, Id be happy too. I will see him tonite for sure. It Hot.:cool!::cool!::cool!:
