Did you call and get that quote? Sounds fair w/trailer. Pier 57 is where I bought my boat and I recommend them. 3 years old does make you wonder if there is any rust in the engine though. I would think that they would have properly stored the boat.

It's candy apple red. It was previously owned by Alan Jackson, If you Google-it you'll find it's still on Old-Ride.com.
Minus the guitar and Good Time.

Hi Marvin,
When I spoke to you earlier I forgot to ask if it comes with the actual guitar. I know the graphics are gone as you mentioned to me and you indicated here.

I forgot to bring it up at closing and the seller didn't offer it. I was too excited seeing the boat for the first time in person, no guitar.

The "good Time" and guitar graphics were added after Alan drove the boat, weren't they?

I think Jackson did it sometime while he owned it. The seller thought it was cool but I couldn't wait to get it off, Thank You WD-40.

I had my eye on that boat when I had the Minx, before the 28. I'm glad the price wasn't this low back then because I would have bought it and the family would still be miserable. But it would be one fun boat for me!!!!

OK, and that's the new ASKING price!! I'm sure they want this boat gone. Woods only wants to sell MTIs and Cigs now.

I looked at that boat last year. Boat was neglected and filthy; really ashame. I would be very cautious. Guy scheduled to meet me and show the boat and never showed up. Boat was in his driveway, so I took a look myself.

White one that's been for sale a long time. I think it was around 40k at one time.

I'd try to get one with the factory installed external steering. The early "first year" Shelby's did not have external steering, like the above mantioned white one.

I'd also check any potential boat purchase for the stringer repair. Donzi did not incorporate the lay-up change on the line to fix the stringer problems until the end of the Shelby production run so most of these boats will develope this problem.

This is kind of off thread but,

I just heard that they are not making the 496 anymore.

That may be an issue if bought a high dollar shelby and blew up the engine or something.

This kind of made me think twice about spending the extra money for a Shelby:shocking::confused::confused::confused:

wouldn't matter, its the same motor as in all the newer classics..but they just came out with the 502 again which would nake a good replacement motor..you could always have reylar rebuild it also if you were to pop it :)
