My new engine has an electric fuel pump instead of a mechanical as the original engine had. What is the normal or best way to wire in? Does the normal wiring go through a pressure swith and relay, coil or what? Any help or schematic would be appreciated

Is it fuel injected or carbed?
If carbed, there was recently a thread on the subject, including safety switches, etc.

If your engine has FI, this won't help much;

I just read the other post, think for a minute why would a "carbed" engine not start on the fuel in the carb? In order for it not to start a second relay ignition circuit cut would be needed, in actuality that is a good idea on any engine carbed, fuelie, no matter type of fuel delivery to allow oil pressure before start.
