If anyone is interested and wants me to take a look, this boat is located about 10 minutes from my house. Probably a Lake George boat.

If you could pick it up for 12, that would be a screaming deal. I'm willing to bet thats a King Cobra boat though....

Yeah, those King Cobras aren't any good and it'll only run 85. Carl C's boat tops out about the same speed and he put some major money in his motor. But what do I know?

Do you know... Caribou has a King Cobra hanging off the back of his ride.

I have heard plenty of good things about the KC but when it comes to parts... that's the big value killer. A 17 year old drive with plenty of power running through it will have problems at some point and it sure would be nice to fix the thing at a reasonable cost.

So... when I was looking at Cobra boats I factored in buying a new Merc drive into the price as protection on the investment.

also... comparing to what Carl did doesn't work. Carl could have slapped a blower on his, saved a bunch of dough, and gone faster in the short term. He opted to go Blue... more money, more longevity, and a higher future top end if he wants it.

Yes I could have bought a lot more hp/speed for my money but that isn't what I was after. I like the questions at the bottom of the ad....Ask Tim!!

King cobra is far from junk, it's a good drive, just harder to find parts then a Merc.
