Looking at them, wondering if I will see any benefit over the factory installed ones...

Do you use tabs a lot? I don't on the 22 except for in the rough and going really slow and the bennetts work just fine.

If you decide to go with them you might be able to just install the plates because they might be the same as the standard dual ram.

I thought about buying this set for the 28 too but I really don't use the tabs on that either... actually use the tabs less on the 28 than the 22.... so it's really just for a better look and I opted for sanity because it has to be a pain in the rump to change out the plates for just a different look.

I only have single ram tabs right now...

The double rams operate slower.....same pump/twice the cylinder area.

I understand that, I was thinking more of the size of the tab helping/hurting?

more than enough tab... do you use them a lot or not is my question. I certainly understand different strokes for different folks. if you really drag the hell out of yours a longer set would be beneficial. but if you are like me and hardly use them it's just not worth it.

dual ram, single ram, whatever... bennett tabs are like tanks... you'll replace the rest of the boat before you need a new set of tabs.

I have 12X12 single ram I use them very little, in bad seas and just to touch up lean or the biggy when running at idle speeds I put them full down which totally eliminated the deep V wandering gives you hands off running.

I found that tabs full down when being towed helps too!:bonk:

If you have 2 batteries you could always wire the pump for 24 volts. Speed is back, pump life may be shortened.

Ken you have a point, they do not cycle that long in fact they would cycle about half as much with 24. I have used 24 volts many times to get engines to kick off, especially sinkers which had lost compression saves quite a few that would have been junked.

I'm just bitter, last time I was out on the lake, I got towed in by a 27' Daytona. Damn King Cobra :wrench:

When I lost the Alpha on the Minx, I got towed in by a 25' 'Toon boat.
I was very grateful and appreciative.

BTW, ITTLFLI bent the corners (all four of them) on his Bennetts.
Maybe the wider support of the twin cylinders help keep them straight.
