Exactly what George said! Thinking more like mid 80's?
I remember laughing the first time I heard about them followed with WTF :eek: when I finally got to see a pic of the empty engine block and the bike..

Mr. Carter is the "Motor Man".
It was Honda's answer to more cylinders (Honda wanted eight) when the Grand Prix rules allowed only four.

Honda NR750. Originally developed in the late 70's as an answer to getting more power from a 4-stroke to compete with 2-strokes. I think there were a handful of street bikes built and sold in the early 90's.

One of, if not the most, collectible of Honda's bikes.
Thought that would provoke a little thought! I found it up on one of the engine boards, I had all but forgotten about the oval crusade! One of the guys commented on a $50,000 price tag and that those that have one will not part with them. A made in JAPAN collectors item!
