Ran the boat 2 weeks ago- wot run resulted in a cavitation- rolled on side and died! Tried to fire up today- re cranks rough - stuck in reverse. Found rusty shift cable with a few strands left but streched- needs replacing. Been reading.

Getting ready here. Put the new side panels in today and got the shift/throttle back in commission. It's been cold for boating here, but that should change this weekend. Hope to get a run or two in before loading on the trailer.

Sucess today with the help of a good friend. Shift cable replaced and solved all issues- (stuck in reverse and would not crank). Strange how a shift cable caused the problem. Just glad I didn't blow a drive! Looking forward to the event.

Not really. I just put gas in mine last weekend.....and loaded the cooler.

All was well until later Sat night and someone poured me a big glass of some kind of clear liquid. I considered that my prep work for AOTH.

You are correcto-mondo Fonzarelli......it be a dry county. I look at it like this, bring what you think you will drink, then bring more to share (in case you make a friend), and then bring a little more......because if you don't finish it, you can always use it later. Unlinke produce, booze keeps forever:kingme:!

Everyone have a safe trip down and don't forget your donated auction item,

None in the area untill you get to Cumberland parkway, and that isn't a delay, it just drops to one lane for a couple of miles but i have never seen a delay there.

Be safe on your drive down everyone.

Blew a tire on the trailer north of Waterloo. Fortunately we were near an exit and got off the freeway. I believe the tread de-laminated and grabbed and bent the back of the fender into itself, killing the tire. I was able to borrow a fence post from a local to bend the fender out of the way. Then I broke my (inadequate) jack. The same local lent me a floor jack. A very nice state patrol office stopped and assisted. Picked up a new tire for the replaced wheel, but it was too late for them to mount it. Ended up in Peoria, not quite as far as we wanted but just over halfway. Hopefully, tomorrow will be less eventful.

Can you guess? Yup, blew the other one today. Lesson learned about old tires that look fine. Had to wait almost three hours for roadside assistance today. Arrived literally just in time for Thursday dinner.
