Scott, I've been fortunate to see some of your work in progress on the Hornets restoration over the last couple of years, "the Sting" has turned out absolutely gorgeous!........kudos to you and your right hand man Matty. Where did you get the stern lifting eye? seems identical to what I need for my Magnum sport............................................. .................Thanks, Scippy

Nice progress Scott bet ya Paul was happy and surprised :)

you don't do bad work by yourself ;) :p

wish my hornet was almost ready for lake george

we are gonna have to rework the hornet for my setup a little

maybe a stogie and a martini glass in his hands

and for your hornet we can have him giving the finger ;)

nice I like it very much

I think that little guy should be our Hornet mascot...we can alter him however you like. I have the image in high res. so we can add or change things. I like the middle finger thing.....:)

Scott,

have the ramp ,dock space and a chase boat all lined up for the water test

just let me know when ;)

I'm telling you the mascot would look great on the ultimate with a 2 handed bronx salute

just picture it

the ultimate on one side of the transom and the bronx salute on the other

it would read

the ultimate FU :p

i think they were made by chris craft or they make something similar

algonac in michigan might be a source but it would be raw and need to be chromed

the lift ring part of that cleat is very similar to the lift rings on the 72 cig minus the cleat part. different from the rings used on the classics at the time

Man alive, is that thing pretty on the water or what? What a rare sight to behold! It's like seeing the rarest of Ferraris out for that rare Sunday drive or something. Normally I'd have some jealousy or envy, but it's just shear appreciation. Kind of like seeing a museum piece.

Scott, HUGE congratulations! All Donzi afficianados owe you a big thank you not only for saving that boat in the first place, but doing the restoration it deserved. It's just........ awesome.

Sure can't wait to see it in person someday.

Thank you Howard. It runs as good as it looks also. I think she will do close to 73-74 MPH. What a great ride!

I will post some pictures on another thread also.

Scott. It turned out beautifully. Every bit as nice as the 18, but a lot rarer. Howard's right, it looks spectacular on the water.

Good luck with it. :alligator
