Monza boats are great very well built speedboats.

Kenny Elkind the Monza Boat Co founder/owner/ builder is still alive & well and living large in Florida.
He also later started American Skier Boats in the 80s & was an offshore racer for a time.
Kenny personally sold Dad & I our 24' American Skier Super Eagle.
He is quite a colorful guy.
It is said, by former Monza workers, that he literally counted every screw that went into his boats~~~
He would take money out of his rigger's pay if he thought they were wasting too much assembly materials, screws etc. .
Yet he still built a very high quality boat.

You should try to contact Kenny Elkind.
I am sure he has many a story to tell about his Monza boats & his friend Don Aronow that has yet to be told.

This is the same fellow who had asked Don Aronow take a test drive in his jet boat that Kenny was thinking of putting into production..
Not familar at all with jet boats Don crashed Kenny's boat into a dock & wrecked it.
Don Aronow was Kenny's idol.
Kenny was always hanging around one of Don's many Miami shops as a young guy.

This infamous crash story is in Michael's book about his father Don Aronow.

Ron Tanis the American Skier boat designer for Kenny -Elkind later bought the Amerian Skier boat Company.
He is still in contact with Kenny Elkind the Monza owner/founder
as they have been friends for decades.
Ron can surely put you in touch with Kenny Elkind if you wish to contact Kenny .
Ron can always be reached at www.amskierboats.com

Good Luck with your new old cassic Monza !
