The 2 actually work, but pretty gummed up after years of sitting in the tank. The cork float would have to be changed if I at all intend to keep them.
Tag on the gas tank read: "Richmar industries a division of Apeco corp." Also, the number on the side of the gauge read: 6741-172-C73 the last 3#'s indicate March '73

I wonder if you can still buy them ??? On one of my ' 73's the guage is screwed into a 2" nipple welded on the tank. "HIGH LIFE"

Yep, mine is also screwed into a fitting on the tank and is made differently. Mine has a corkscrew shaft that the cork rides over between two side posts from the top to the bottom. As the cork moves, so does the shaft which has the needle at the gauge to read the fuel height. Mine is also made by Rochester. Someone makes a similar guage to yours, Scippy. Bill

I have one from 1978 if anyone needs it. I'm going with senders and guages.
