Anyone know of a good shop that carries parts for a 68 lotus elan se? Looking for bumper trim for the top of the front bumper as will as some other odds and ends. Car has been in storage forever. 6000 original miles.

Yes!Thanks mop I have started some looking at some of these forums. Thought someone here might have a contact. This car was bought in the fall of 67 by my dad and was never really driven. It has been sitting in my garage for 10 years the car is flawless. Time to change fluids and tune and go for a burn. I wonder if it would be faster than the 16.:) Thanks!

Finding some odds and end. With only 6000 on the clock since 68 I'm thinking it will need all the fluids changed, points, plugs, tires , etc. As a kid my dad would pull this out of the garage a couple times a year and we would go for a burn. My dad in the day was a sports car guy. Started with a 106 Heally, 190 benz late 50's, 59 xk150 ordered got sick had to cancel the xk. Then in 63 cam a xke, followed by the 68 elan, then cam kids bought a jeep. The last time the elan came out was in fall of 77 my mom and dad took it out for supper and left me home with a sitter. I cried the whole time they were gone! That was the last time they left me home and the last time the elan was used. I never left my dads side for the next 18 years. So I think it is about time to let mom and dad take the car out for supper again. I hope I can hold back the tears!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome little car and an inspired design. A real giant killer on a twisty road.
I remember trying to buy a pieced together, ex race one in 1969 from a hippie mechanic. Claimed 160 hp in about 1350 #. It had a bald tire, a Goodyear Bluestreak and two mis matched
radials. We did a clover leaf on the local highway.A revelation. I never realized that I could weigh more laterally than vertically in an automobile
( and be in control).
There are plenty or parts sources, Check one of the English Mags for starts.
