I think it was found to be a scam on ebay not that long ago.. ;)

Sure doesn't look like any "fresh water" I've seen on the Cape...I'd have to venture that its a scam!

So I guess I am just Naive..or even worse..STUPID. How is this a Scam? What makes it a Scam...? Is it NOT a Donzi? Is it a Testa Rossa..? What makes it a Scam..? Just wondering. :nilly: I havn't been following the history of this....offering.

For starters, It was on a suspicious Ebay listing a few weeks ago that didn't all add up... ;)

Sorry I don't recall all the details from the ebay listing as I have a zillion things going on at the moment.. Also my wife's father just died unexpectedly and the family is a bit upset.

There was also a thread on here as well if memory serves me correctly. You may want to search the thread out on the registry for more details. :)

DonziJon, It is right that there were some strange things about the ebay ad with this same picture & boat. I will tell you that the hull # they were using was in line with being one of the very few Donzi 22 Testarossa's made in 1988. Also it was strange that they were not just selling the boat as this one is, but including an upscale jet ski type vehicle with the boat. I was not too sure that it was a scam only because of the fact that the asking or buy it now price, around $24000 was out of line in the high range and I would think that a scammer would have put an unbelieveably low price to draw people into the scam. I could not think that even one person would have been interested at that price range. The person that was running the ad did not seem to know the boat could be a Testa Rossa. I looked for the registry post last night but could not find it. This is just my 2c. Would like to read all the stuff again in the registry posting. Tom
