I have Progressive, 87 22C $500.00/yr full coverage.

Ive heard that they are tough to get $$ out of them from other members on this board.

I think that Haggerty is kind of the insurance Co of choice.?.

i have American family,full coverage,100,000-300,000 liability/ 500.00 deductible/ 10,000 med pay/ comp and collision,fire & theft, under water liability(in case i hit something under the water they cover the drive)and if i wreck it they give me 13,000 k for it....244.92 per year..

I have allstate insurance, $540 a year for agreed valvue. They cover boats the don't go over 75 MPH:wink:.

What kind of boat and what do you think is reasonable?

my Minx was dirt cheap to insure, something like $250 bucks for 20k agreed value per year.

I pay just over 200$ a year, state farm, with 20k agreed value.

I use Haggerty, $25000 agreed value, plus they didn't care that I had 400hp in an 18' boat. All for $500 a year.

No offence, but do you think that is enough? I'm in Canada where the settlements are no where near what they are in the US and I carry $1M. Can't you get $300k for a stubbed toe in the US. :biggrin.:

Haggerty here. They have a classic marine (or something like that) segment. Plenty of coverage, easy to work with and somewhere around $350 annually.

State Farm is very good with no restriction where you travel with your boat unlike many other insurance co. just ask, and they pay out when theres a claim unlike Progressive that depreciates what ever you are claiming to a point that makes it worthless in their opinion. Such as breaking a 10 yr old Bravo-1 because you hit a log, they're happy to write you a $367.00 check for that depreciated item.
Progressive rates are great but their policies aren't worth the paper its written on, just call a few repairshops for their opinion about dealing with them you'll find you get what you pay for.
