This is related to Donzi Performance since the investors that own Donzi own Fountain also.......

http://www.bajamarine.com/

I find this interesting as there's nothing on this site except Fountain and Baja.
Nothing about Donzi.
Does this mean the rumors of a few months ago about Donzi moving to the Fountain plant were eronious?

I want to know!

So Donzi Josh......can you shed a bit of light on the subject?

You might also notice that the Bajas haven't grown beaks!

The only thing I ever heard from Donzi is that they were not going to move. Everyone kept saying they would though.

Another piece of interesting info on the Fountain site is all the Baja models are listed w/the Fountains, that only three Fountain models are listed, and that all the new boat inventory was built in 2009.
Makes you wonder if any new Fountains have been built?????

The Fountain model listing kinda looks like the Bajas are junior Fountains.

I think the 42 on their site is the 2009 Miami boat show boat.

It looks like Fountain knocked out a bunch of smaller Bajas in 2009 probably in hopes of selling the cheaper boats. Reality is the custom stuff is moving not the lower end stuff. Plus, who the heck wants to pay 60-90k for a 23 Outlaw?

The same people who want to spend 60K+ for a 22 Donzi.

I don't know many who would be choosing between those two.

My point exactly. If someone wanted to spend that kind of change on a 23 Baja, I'd pick a 22 Donzi everyday of the week and twice on Sundays.

Well Brian, since you've worked on so many Donzis around here, why don't you tell us about the strong vs. weak points of each?

Nothing wrong with a Baja. They get a bad rap from the Donzi snobs.
There was a 40 footer that led our poker run a few years back, and it was a beautiful boat. There was also a Baja fishboat on that poker run that was exceedingly nice.

I am not here to bash either brand.....you guys were.

In the last 2 years there has been at least 2 and up to 3 18-22 Classics in my shop at any given time. As of last week I am down to 1 but another 1 is coming soon. All boats have issues its the nature of the beast. All I ask is that you do not throw stones at my brand and I will not throw stones at yours.

How is it going Cuda have not seen you on OSO for some time and NO I am not trying to start anything with you.....just wondered what happened.

They don't love me anymore on Oso. They have some new moderators since Steve sold it to Internet Brands, and they have a God complex. After 9 years and25,000 posts it was time to move on anyway.

As I said, Baja's get a bad rap that I don't think they deserve.

If it floats you won't hear me bad mouth it. I saw a 36 Baja at a gas station on hwy 4441 in Mr Dora about a month ago, and it was a gorgeous boat. I have a picture of it on my other computer.

Cuda I think you are wrong about some of them. I met RG down in Ohio and she had no problem with you she even told me she met you and was at your house. She just did not understand all the issues that were going on latley. I have also seen Heather stand up for you several times. Just saying......maybe a little more toned down.

I don't know many who would be choosing between those two.Different boats. Why wouldn't someone chose the Baja over the Donzi? Baja has more freeboard, more interior space, room under the bow, and is probably easier to drive.............and I've personally never known anyone that had problems with their Baja.

I was actually looking at a Hammer, but ended up with the Classic. Could have gone either way.

Yes I have worked on some of the members boats here. In fact all of my Donzi customers are from here. You might of seen this little project.
