I got an Alpha and am looking into purchasing one. Got external steering. Looking for recommendations.

No polls nor is this a question of do I need it or not. I remember the last time this was "discussed". :smash::smash:

You can generally find a nice selection of showers at reasonable prices on eBay.
No real discussion needed.
They work and they're cheap.

Ken,
The issue I have with that style is the plate that the ram (Latham) attaches to is on top of the drive. See pic.

I need to look at the Simrek, if I remember right they wrap around and are a no drill set up. Does anyone know if they have one that will fit an alpha?

Yep the one in the pic is for a Bravo.

Call Latham. They might have one that works. The newer brackets they make have a built in threaded hole that accepts a shower. I am thinking they will have something that works on the older brackets too.

I think Bob is correct. A threaded hole could be drilled and tapped into the top plate and a hose fitting could be screwed into it.
There're a number of MFGR's that make showers that use SST braided hose and a fabricated fitting on the bottom end.
Eddie marine offers these I think.

You need to have a threaded cap to use the cap for the shower head. Otherwise A halo plate would need to be modded & installed on top of the Latham ram cap. :)

If something like that will work for you feel free to give me a call.. :)
