The guy I had lined up to restore my St. Tropez is too busy to get at my boat. I'm sure there's got to be some reputable individuals that could use the work in this economy. Any suggestions?
Thanks Jim.

I have used Tiger Fiberglass in Marysville Mi 810-364-8875. Dave Goodman dose repairs, and builds custom race boats. Dave rebuilt & painted my 38' Kv Scarab. Dave also made all the fiberglass statues at Comerica Ball Park in Detroit.

Not Bill's Spitfire. His was much more intact when he bought it in Canada. That's not Ray's Spitfire either. Not sure who's that one is. Looks nice though.

I'm wondering about the red Fino. I know Bill has one of those too, but I'm guessing his is also not the one shown on RCS's site.

That's not Bills Spitfire or Fino, that Spitfire has a single big block. That shop dose do great work as I have seen the Fino & the blue Spitfire.

.....and if all of those guys are too busy to get to her, my guy here in St. Joe, IN, Tom Miller, Has done a lot of restorations. Oh, and if you want a new/old Hydrodyne, he has all the molds (he has built them for years). One of his shop guys actually worked at Donzi for a short period back in '87-'89.

St Joe Fiberglass Repair (Northeast Indiana, 2.5 hours from downtown Detroit)
260-337-5636

If you call him, tell him Tom West II sent you. Well, maybe not, he'll prolly charge you more:eek::kingme:

GlassDave, Dave Sikorski, is a member on here. He is located in Toledo Ohio and did some work for me. He did a great job and I highly recomend him. I sent my boat to him from Jersey and spent the same $ (inc. shipping) as if I had someone local do it but he is far better than anyone I know here.

Dave does really good work, and he is very reasonably priced. He just made a hatch for me. Here is some more info on that.

I'd like to get all the structural problems handled first. Such as new stringers, transom, cockpit sole coring, and deck coring. I would like to get that done this year. The next year I plan on painting, rechrome all deck fittings then rerigging the boat. My 18c took 3 years, this one I'd like to do in 2. I'm not getting any younger! Sorry for the crappy pic's.

very cool boat Jim, I'll swing by next week and have a look at it. Should be in the area Tuesday i think. I can accommodate any time frame, got a 3500 sq.ft. facility with plenty of space.
