SN ID for Motor and Drive

Does anyone have access to the Mercury system to run these two numbers and see what comes up for ID? Thanks in advance for any help!

'01(last year) Gen VI big block 454/502. Can't find it for sure, a guess from the range.

I checked that back in with the owner and he is saying that this was THE LAST 454MAG MPI produced by Mercury so I guess that confirms the 2001 MY. He also says that it has some factory "upgrade" that tweaked the HP from 385 to 400? Has anyone ever heard of that?

Never heard of the factory upgrade...

The parts manuals have a range that goes to 0M024999 for the MPI Mag

for the 7.4 LX the part range goes to 0M024330

I would be cautious on it being the 'last' because the number is thousands under the part range... the 24330 is pretty believable number and it seems odd that they would stop making 454 Mag while still building thousands of 7.4's.

It was the last year anyway, never heard of any upgrade. I would doubt it. Great motor as is.

Hoping to ID another motor and drive. Motor is OL 898645 and drive is CL 749569. Any information appreciated.
