Today I had a great ride with Michi Besler in his stunning whipple-charged Donzi 22 Shelby on our german river Elbe in Hamburg.
Weather was just fantastic, water quiet calm and the boat is just incredible.
I had the chance to ride it myself and it all handles so easily, the boat feels extremely good even at high speed.
In the last pix you can see we were going over 80mph, top speed with GPS was 83mph!!!

Michi, thanks for this great day, I gotta get my GT finished soon...

Awesome boat! 80 at 4500 rpms tells me it goes faster than 83

Axel
What did you think of the its on the boat? Could you tell any difference with that extention box on there? Just curious as I'm putting one on my boat. Thanks

Parnell, I guess it is a 12" extension with thru exhaust and integrated power steering. It drives and handles perfect, I did not notice any difference because I did not drive the boat with its former drive. Better ask Michi about, he might be able to tell you the difference, he installed it lately. He is on this board as well (michibesler).
It wasn't the right prop yesterday, I guess with right prop and setup it might go up to 85-90mph...

Museum, it's the russian U434, the worlds biggest non-nuclear tango-class u-boat built in 1976, special coated for being radar invisible, out of duty since 2002, bought by investors for 1.5 million $ and brought to Hamburg in 2006, the transport was another 1.5 mill $!

I agree, more speed in it than 83.

Michi told me it's twice the original length... May be he can give you the exact measurement.

yes, it is like Axels said, they precise the double in length then the original were. A local locksmith did them for me. The original ones are for sale now ;-)

It is like nothing else!!! The ride to the marina with my Shelby Cobra with a 6.3 Liter supercharged Chevy is almost boring compared to the Donzi.

Those are fantastic photos!! Curious if that wind fairing actually routes the 80MPH breeze above your eyes?

As the owner of a 22 with the same fairing. I can verify Axels's reply..NO! There are solutions though and mine are removable! On a hot day it feels good but when running mid 80s into the wind the other day I could not even see even with sunglasses on. You would need goggles!

That is one of my favorite cars minus the chevy of course. The Daytona version is my favorite of all time. Pretty much every motor has been in those cars (some english motor, Chrysler, BMW, & Ford) except for chevy until last year when the German company and AC made the MKVI. I think what you need is a couple of 427's. one for the car and one in the boat. I'm pretty sure you would be the only person in the world to have both a 22 shelby Classic and an AC Cobra with a 427. Although, it might be a bit expensive.:convertib:

the original ones were 2,5 mm, the new ones are 3 mm, made out of stainless steel

Howster, you asked......

Rims are aluminum, sorry. They are a pin drive wheel so the knockoffs are legit.

428CJ, .030 over KB pistons 9.8:1 CR, Crane roller cam, Dove Engineering roller rockers, alum Ford Police Interceptor intake, Holley 650. Runs on 87 octane. MSD ignition.

A very strong 400 hp with tons of torque. Will pull 1K RPM in 4th.

Cobras are my favorite cars. Especially Blue and white ones!

Do you ever come to Oklahoma for the Mid-America Shelby meet in June? Carroll has been here for the last couple of years. Race at Hallett road course Thurs and Fri, drag race saturday, then show and shine sunday. It is amazing to see all original Cobras and GT 40s running flat out!

move the 'DONZI 1' plate to the Harley Truck. That Pantera ain't
comin' out of the garage this year!

Yesterday Axel K. and I went out for a ride! We put the Go Pro HD Cam on several locations. The rear shot towards the drive shows perfect how the drive shower works.
