I guess Donzi feels they are correct in that order.

maybe the tie bar would hit the ladder?

maybe the tie bar would hit the ladder?

or the exhaust maybe. boat isn't around to check it but it's pretty tight back there so it probably would hit something.

Mine is on the top. What is it really effect?

Vette, do you have any kind of backing plate on the inside transom?

Fixx, I see what you are saying now. Mine are even and the other isn't. found this pic of another setup as you describe.

My guess is no Backing plate. I added one.

The picture above the drives are tucked in. I will see if they will even line up on the top.

I'll look when the boat comes back. I think it is odd as hell that Donzi uses various setups... so mine really could be different depending on what Latham shipped Vs. whatever other brands are used (Zieger? etc?)

Actually looks like ladder is missing...:bonk::boggled:

Its been so long since I owned this boat dont remember if tie bar and steering rams where always mounted that way. I bought it new back in 2000....:pimp:

Vette put one drive up and the other one down, you will see why the tiebar goes on top...

Pretty boat.

Backing plates are important. Some kits have them. Some don't. I don't know why a top notch product like Latham would not have them but I have seen that too.
