Nope, I was born at Subic Bay, Phillipines. It show the ship my dad was on in this news clipping.
If you've ever been there, this picture should give it away. I bet GCarter has been there.

Is it the town of Suwanee at the mouth of the Suwanee River?
If so, I think you had an interest there at one time......

The town of Suwanee is indeed at the mouth of the river. It's at the extreme west end of Hwy 349. If someone tells you they have been through Suwannee, they are lying. You can only go to Suwannee. I kept a travel trailer out there for years. Depending on the time of year, I'd either bring my boat up on a Friday, and fish all weekend, or during hunting season, I'd go hunting. I loved it up there. I had a boat launch and a covered slip at the fishcamp I stayed at. I had cable tv, and about a ten yard walk to a cafe.
It was only about ten miles to Cedar Keys from Suwannee by boat, but about 75 miles by land. You had to be careful of shallow water out there. I was coming back from scalloping off Rocky Creek, and hit bottom about three miles from any shore. Ever try to find a new prop in Suwannee on a Saturday? :(
