Hey I took a look at this one yesterday. 280 Volvo with Chevy mill. Needs a restoration. Looks like most everthing is there. I know the guy that works at the dealership where the boat is, I work on his scooter! He said he could go as low as 6K for it, which means it could possibly be had for a tad lower. If anyones interested the guys name is Richard, phone no. is 941-416-5234. I believe it's on consignment. With some time and effort I think it could be a really nice ride.

The front bench seat makes it less desirable, but it does look like a good one for a restoration project (if the price is right).

from what I saw the bench seat is on 2 posts, so the conversion to twin buckets wouldn't be hard. looked like there were sliders also.

My landlords insurance guy bought this boat and had her redone!

Said he spent some coin on it, but it sounds and looks good.

That's a happy ending to the story.

So how fast things can go in a rebuild?

Not a fan of the exhaust through the deck, but it looks like who did it, did a good job.

When you run the engine shouldn't the drive be lowered to prevent damage to the U joint ??? "HIGH LIFE"

Wouldn't that increase the risk of reversion or waves washing into the exhaust?

I always lower mine.

I have noticed that quite a few Youtube videos show running boats on a hose with the drives up - definitely should be lowered except transmissioned drives like the TRS in my book (and they should not be put in gear with the drives up). Bill
