Same boat (1979), with a tired 260 hp Mercruiser and a 21 Clever prop. Mine went 58 - 59.

I posted a semi-short diatribe about that once and really pissed off a member......
After a couple of nasty PM's about my geneology, he's no longer around here, but then a lot of other people aren't around either.:boggled:

I didn't have anything to do w/the rest of them.

George, I don't EVER comment on peoples spelling or grammar...my Mother embarrassed me often when I would ask someone where they were at...she would then say..."BEHIND THE PREPOSITION" and I remember how much I didn't like being corrected!

Barry, I never say anything about spelling and grammar, but the idea of a prop having an IQ got the best of me.

My biggest problem is fat fingers (or lack of dexterity) and hitting two or three keys at a time.

I guess I did ask a member once if his post was a run on sentence after he wrote a whole chapter w/o any punctuation at all.

I would rather have a clever prop than a cleaver prop any way.:propeller::jester:

if the engine is a 2001 and is injected maybe it is a 300hp setup so more speed!! Maybe 65...

Them clever ones were those Land & Sea variable self adjusting pitch props that occasionally find their way to E-Bay.
