One does show the bidirectional rotations but the little one right side is dead wrong! Or is it?

The fact that they feel they have to identify the language at the top of the page is the first sign of trouble...

Not to pee in anyone's Wheaties, but the small picture on the lower right is correct.

I do take issue with the middle picture, which shows both sides of the pump being outlets.

If you don't have Glycerine to lubricate the impeller...would KY work?:jestera::D

I don't see the difference.

Both of these diagrams are the same. One from above, and one lifted from a website describing how their impellers work.

I looked it up because the description in the original post, matches how I thought they work.

I agree. they are both correct. In reality, if the outlet was moved to the bottom left there would be no forced discharge, not the other way around.

The other part of the original diagram is pretty much nuts though. arrows going both directions make no sense.

Maybe it's a Bravo3 impeller. <ducking>

Only if you were going to put it to use ASAP, other wise KY turns to something like clear RTV silicon cement.
Just like the same stuff used to attach your new credit card to the envelope letter when its mailed to you, nice soft dry rubbery goo.

I use anti-freeze. Is that OK?

You mean anti seize?

Nope, pure anti-freeze to lube the impeller. I get it warm and soft in hot water first (tap water).

All the antifreeze I've bought came as a liquid in a gallon jug.

Maybe they have a different antifreeze up north. I think the stuff in the jug is only good to 50 below.

I do know they make antifreeze out of glycerine.

We just use winter creek water. Water from the creek that doesn't freeze all winter.
