Speaking of big trucks and distracted driving...

Apparently a truck driver in AZ was paying attention to the next job on his clip board instead of the road and ran into a pack of bikes sitting at a red light. Very ugly incident.

I was wondering how many folks ride w/o a helmet????
If you do, I sure would encourage you to wear one.

Most of it's top quality stuff too; Shoei helmet, Held gloves, Dainese boots, AlpineStars pants...except the current jacket which is a B-grade TourMaster.

Of course, the best gear in the world can only do so much.

I think most of the accidental deaths associated w/bikeweek in Daytona each year are related to head trauma.

Of course all the other gear is a good idea too.

My wife and I crossed the Mohave Desert (@115 Degrees) on a motorcycle in 1985 wearing Levis, Vanson heavy leather jackets, and full face helmut's. YUP..It was Freakin HOT. Motorcycling is Risky and Uncomfortable..but maybe that's what Adventure is about...

Wouldn't do it again. We're too old now and we've used up our credits.
