Just a heads up, a lot of guys that go to that run also go to Harrison Lake run up here and the Harrison one is all about T & A.

I know that doesn't bother a lot of people, but it's not so good when you go with your wife and daughter to an event that advertises the 'family' aspect.

I agree Glenn that a tittie show is not a place to take the family, so you and I should go by ourselves.....:wavey::beer::umbrella:

Mountain View in Manson. Just pre-registered for the run the other day. Just hope the boat is running by then. Got a very busy Spring with the daughter getting married and moving to Virginia. Hopefully I will get de-winterized and spring service before 4th of July...lol

The Chelan run is MUCH more family friendly I've been told, so don't let this scare you off

So where is the best place to stay if we go? Where is the boat dock that everyone uses?

CaribouLou

Your best bet is to get ahold of Cappy and/or Jen who put it on. I will give you their emails and they can point you in the right direction.

The Lake House...south end (long drive to the lcbc each morning and evening, but we are happy to have a place)

CaribouLou
06-17-2010, 04:29 PM
That's not too bad actually. Might work out perfect, as you can drop me off and pick me up (I'm staying right in the middle) as I probably won't be sober to drive :drunk:

BobinCovington
06-17-2010, 05:17 PM
We will just have to see who is in better shape to be the designated driver both nights...:crossfing:

I hope there's a cab company :crossfing:

BobinCovington

at least I know you'll be there to help me rotate the eaton outdrive to the up position when I take her out of the water.

If I have to deal with that, drinks are on you ;)

Welcome aboard! We are getting excited too. We had a heck of a time finding a place to stay and ended up reserving at the Lake House at the south end of the lake. We couldn't find anything near the lake chelan boat club, but check around, there should be something.

Had our boat in Lake Washington today for a checkout...it runs (and the outdrive worked!). Still some things to adjust and a little to finish up and we will head over on Thursday. After reading the forecast, we will stock up on sunblock (my wife laughs at me, but I still call it suntan lotion) and we'll bring some long sleeve shirts/hats

Bob's 16
Your 18 (I think I met you a few weeks ago when you were having drive problems)
My 22

I'm leaving tomorrow, I'm helping setup the clubhouse.

Everyone dress in their 80's gear.

CaribouLou

Ratliff240
07-07-2010, 01:58 PM
Yeah we did meet the other weekend. And i seem to have the drive back together for the weekend but didn't have enough time to collect all the parts for my alpha swap.

Cant wait to see all 75 of the boats!!!

Been helping setup the LCBC clubhouse all day for the run....

Well the little Donzi runs and sounds great. Had it to the lake (Washington)today and Scotty helped me get used to running it. Now the trailer is getting reworked a little at the shop (new marker lights, bearings and then we are set to leave. Owning old boats is easy, as parts disintegrate or fall off, we just buy new ones.

See you over there tomorrow afternoon...we will probably show up and try to figure out where to store the boat (either on the trailer or in the slip). Apparently our hotel does not have room to park the boat, so they offered the nearby park they say is safe. Kelly do you know if there is anywhere else to park the boat/trailer for Thursday night that is secure, perhaps near the clubhouse?

CaribouLou

Bob, I've got a place for it, close to your hotel.

Nice Pictures Kelly! We have a couple of good ones of your boat just before starting the run on Saturday. As soon as we download from the camera...

we had a lot of fun, but I'm still trying to erase the mental image of you with your 80's costume on.

Sorry about that Bob!

I didn't get any pictures of your boat that turned out, all blurry, you must have been going WAYYY too fast ;). Boat looks AWESOME in the water, and sounds great. My spine is still sore from trying to get to that first card stop towards the front of the pack....I can't wait to see video of that, I was told I had the boat 4' out of the water more then a few times....whoops :)
