This has been around before, but I happened up on it an I thought we could re-visit it. This relates to all of us that grew up boating with our parents.

I'm definitely not a person that gets moved easily but this video........ man oh man. Definitely well made. Definitely helped me talk the wife into a new boat. :cool!:

Definitely reminds me of my life, Dad's life, etc.

Yeah, this video gets me...Mom and Dad had a Mahogany Chris-Craft before I was born. I was riding in it the Summer of 1952 before I was born in November 1952...that means I have been boating LONGER THAN "ALL MY LIFE"!!!

Cool video. Like many, my boating started early. I'll always give thanks to my wonderful father for enduring boating when I was younger. Most of my family loves the water, including my older brother. However, dad's not a huge fan. I didn't realize until a few years back that he was a nervous wreck every time we went to the lake...I just thought he was being funny. But he knew that boating was something that us kids loved, so he endured his fears every weekend of our childhood. I'll pay him back one day...

This could be my fathers life story, also.

He died on christmas eve 05. We had his body cremated, and the following spring I loaded the family onto his pontoon boat and we spread his ashes over the lake that he lived and boated on. One of the best decisions I've ever made. Because now a couple times a year I trailer my Donzi to that lake and I can still boat with him. He never would splurge on a boat as nice as a Donzi, but I'm sure he loves to hear the rumble of my 502.
