This is cool, most of us use a ton of AA's a year this handy tip will save you a bundle!

I buy AAs in bulk since they are needed in a lot of the video game stuff that I sell. I will try that trick and report back. Hopefully they are alkaline.

And let's get technical. 32 AAs would be 48 volts, not 6 volts.

In order for AA's to make 6 volts you would need 4 of them. (4 x 1.5). so, for 32 batteries to make 6 volts you would have a wiring nightmare in a package that small. you would have to have sets of 4 wired together to make 6 V then the sets wired together.

Funny vid though.

I'll try to get to the bottom of it. They won't be alkaline though so you will end up with a handful of cheapy batteries at best.

All depends.. are they wired in parallel or series... or a mix match of both... By wiring in parallel you maintain the potential difference while increasing the load capacity (amperage).

We just cut a eveready 6v apart @ work and it has 4 big cells in it and no aa battery's.

if you buy an interstate battery 24 group 12 volt and bust it open you get enough AA batteries to power the antenea on your tin foil hat til the next comet comes by ;) :)
