27 Mag Sport (engine vent grilles)

Looking for 2 engine side vent grilles.........for my 27 sport, any condition good enouch to re-chrome.

Looking for 2 engine side vent grilles.........for my 27 sport, any condition good enouch to re-chrome. Scippy i have seen you on a few other forums serious offshore for one asking the same question and i posted this before on Bill's thread www.magnumboatrestoration.com (http://www.magnumboatrestoration.com) which you may have already seen and have you ever thought of having someone make a casting for this for a reproduction part or part's like they do on classic runabouts because im sure there are other people out there looking for the same thing and maybe even Areo owners considering the ones that came with there boat were made of wood ? I would like to mention that this guy is in the Mag owners section on serious offshore and offers parts for sale but then again maybe magnum marine can direct you to the people or foundry who made the part ( casting ) for them . Just a thought .

GG - Bud Wiesner (Mr. Vinyl) www.magnumboatrestoration.com (http://www.magnumboatrestoration.com) is the first person I spoke to, since he doesn't have these 27 sport vent grilles he did give me leads on others to ask. So far, all those other leads were fruitless. He did mention if I were to borrow a set of grilles from one who has I could have them cast in a foundry or more expensively Computer Cast and made from aluminun. I'm going to call Magnum Marine and see if they can help steer me in a direction to get these grilles, That would be the easiest. The more imposing part would be to borrow a pair from someone and have them cast...................I sure hope I find a pair before it gets to that though!...............Thanks for the suggestions!
