Whats the difference between?
Bowtie heads
Vortec heads

Will Vortec fit on a 1988 350 mag with centerbolt valve cover?
would the head bolts line up to the block?

I know I would need the matching Vortec intake manifold

But what about the exhaust manifold? Would I need to do those too?

Yes they fit but you also need the matching intake.

All your stuff will fit the vortec heads except the intake..bowtie heads have a smaller cc combustion chamber,bigger valves and a longer intake runner's and you wont need to change your intake...to take full advantage of thease heads you should change the cam profile and exhaust but your stock stuff will work also..

Don't forget the self-aligning rocker arms on the vortecs.
